From the makers of Yarg, this award-winning cheese is somewhat different to its sister but definitely worth paying some attention to.

It's a hard farmhouse cheese made in a Gouda-style so it  has that sweet nuttiness you expect from Alpine cheese and it's matured for at least 16 months to increase the flavour intensity.  If you like Comté, you'll love this.

Kern, by the way, means 'round' in Cornish.

It pairs happily with both fruity whites and lighter reds. We recommend the Tabali Reserva Especial Chardonnay and for a real treat the Kelly Washington Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
